Design
El Karim is a 70` ketch, with a mahogany hull. The sail are tri radial spectra 200 square meters working sail and another 100 square meters in the spinnaker. A 6.354 Perkins diesel powers her.
The technology used aboard is GPS Navigator, Furuno Radar and depth sounder, Tsunamis .electronic charts and PC. VHF & SSB radio. The inverter provides 240 volts when the generator is not running.
"El Karim" carries 3 tonnes of water.
A very smart flat screen and DVD player, a collection of books, 400 CD`s and 100 DVD`s were added to pass the time in anchorage and at sea. Each cabin has its own separate sound system.
"El Karim`s" configuration is 4 cabins, 2 queen, 1 double and 1 set of bunks. There are 3 heads. The interior has been lavishly refurbished with rosewood while the saloon still retains the original Moroccan carvings in Lebanese cedar. These have been restored and complimented with silk and leather.
All cabins are comfortably appointed with soft furnishings and high quality linen.
There is an antique cocktail cabinet, crystal glassware and fine china dinnerware.
